The Power of the Written Word: Our Greatest Tool
Since our inception we’ve built a team brimming with an exceptional assortment of talents, all experts in the art of storytelling. And our inclination for the written word is the very foundation upon which we’ve build our business – whether working on a piece of long-form client copy or taking media through a complex brand narrative.
As such, our communications offering extends beyond mere traditional press office outreach to include bespoke content creation, tailored to each and every client need. Indeed, we now have a dedicated content team within the wider Nous group, working around the clock to create both proactive and reactive copy to elevate our brands.

Our words reflect the tone of voice of each individual brand, and are thoughtfully composed to land the desired messaging
We now have a dedicated content team within the wider Nous group, working around the clock to create both proactive and reactive copy to elevate our brands.
Thriving in the sweet spot where our experience in journalism and PR collide, the Nous content team is perfectly positioned to write effective press-facing content. With client Panasonic, for example, our team is in charge of honing press releases which are distributed not only in the UK, but across the rest of Europe – a testament to the strength of our copywriting and deep understanding of the global position of our brands.
Beyond press materials, we have also now taken over the creation of several clients’ brand newsletters, specifically suited to either internal or external recipients. Our words reflect the tone of voice of each individual brand, and are thoughtfully composed to land the desired messaging.
For Freeview, we create a list of the top shows on TV every week, packaged up in a succinctly-worded, easy-digestible format for the 160K+ subscribers who receive it every Friday. Each month, we analyse the data to decipher which headlines, blog posts and TV content prompt the steepest open and click rates, and utilise these statistics to plan an effective timeline for our future newsletters.
For Ruark, we collate a monthly newsletter and blog which are shared with a range of stakeholders, including the internal team, channel sales partners and consumers. Originating theme suggestions for the client, the Nous team then ideates around the selected topic, creating engaging content covering everything from interviews with leading DJs to insights from like-minded companies.
Our content-creating offering also encompasses social media copy. Through our exceptional ability to adapt tone to varying platforms, we are able to influence consumers via short, colloquial copy for Instagram, succinct, witty copy for Twitter or long-form, corporate copy for LinkedIn.
For Freeview, we create authentic, TV-related content across all its social channels, with a client-specified focus on building stronger brand awareness with a young demographic. More information about our social strategy and success can be found in our other blog post here.
