Content Creation: Giving Voice to a Brand Narrative
Generating engaging content is integral to all client activity at Nous Communications. We tell stories, building brand narratives by breathing life into them as if they were our own. Through our innovative, flexible, and agile approach, everything we do aims to break the boundaries of traditional public relations, providing a platform for our clients to stand out against their competition.
Refining and nurturing the brand identity of our clients is at the heart of Nous Communications’ content creation strategy. It allows us to produce thought-provoking and insightful copy, key messaging of real substance, oversee striking photo shoots, and deliver memorable activations – all of which make a demonstrable difference to brand engagement. Below are just a few examples.
The agency was tasked to generate new and fresh imagery to announce the launch of Bang & Olufsen’s Beosound A1 speaker, with the content to be utilised across the brand’s social media channels and marketing materials in both print and online. We identified the target content creator for Bang & Olufsen through a collaboration with London-based interiors stylist and blogger, Cate St Hill. Showcasing neutral- and monochromatic-themed content, Cate’s brand ethos is very much aligned to Bang & Olufsen’s sleek Scandinavian design heritage. The work Nous Communications undertook has resulted in Cate’s content now being accessible to the entirety of Bang & Olufsen’s network across the globe, whereby the brand can access and utilise the images where required.

Creating newsletters is also an important role within our work for various clients. These are critical to interacting with, and growing, a brand’s community of digital advocates.
We provide news to Freeview’s consumer audience, highlighting the platform’s ‘top picks’ of TV programmes each week. Distributed to nearly 200,000 external subscribers we include blog posts ranging from topics such as how to clean your TV to keeping subscribers updated on all Freeview news, including the recent launch of the Freeview Accessible TV guide. We also feature competitions from time to time, either hosted on social media platforms or a giveaway of a Freeview set-up box from brands that support Freeview. For Bang & Olufsen, our email newsletters are distributed to the brand’s internal network. The newsletters identify our top three pieces of coverage secured that week, explaining these in significant detail alongside overall reach figures, imagery, and context of the publication.
Finally, we combine our expert knowledge of the brands we represent and the media landscape, to write press releases journalists want to read.
As the lead European agency heading up the launch of the Denon Home wireless speakers, we created the initial press release using our own best practice, which was then regionalised by other agencies across the EU territories. We have also written blogs for Denon’s website, most recently helping users to explore the wider functionality of the Denon Home wireless speakers.
